from what I have seen, al the ''monster only'' and the ''elemental collectors'' stuff that the elementals can drop, can be salvage dinto sapphries/rubies/diamonds, but justa really slim chance. With Measure for measure inscription, this chance goes up significantly. Further more, items like ''jeweld daggers'' etc can be salvaged into gems. same as above. I tihnk.

you can get rubies from geode (rock beetles) too

Thank you to everyone who has been nice enough to share which items can be salvaged for gems. It's nice to know which things are worth trying to Expert Salvage instead of merching them

Now people can try to salvage enough gems for Vabbian armor if they don't have tons of money to buy gems at the trader.

These salvages are rare enough that they won't even touch the Market. I expect ArenaNet to change that, otherwise no one will be able to afford 5k Vabbi in a month or two...

I thought "Measure for Measure" can only be put on weapon/shield/focus?

I mean, we're talking about Salvage Items here, which are kind of like armor of monsters. Can you put M for M in them?

Ive merched so many geodes. I didnt even think they might have gems in. Makes sense that they would, being geodes.. :/

Hopefully (as there was a hint or 2 in the Scribe) the NF Elite mission/s drop Rubies/Sapphires lots, like Ectos/Shards, because the fact that you CANNOT get them as a regular drop is ridiculous.

You CAN get them as regular drops, every ruby and saphire I have has been a drop not salvaged or bought. Nice to know about the salvaging, im off to buy more salvage kits!

I agree with Tookis on this, this is one of the few ways people can make some cash without doing some 55 farming, or some other time intensive farm, considering I only have 2 hrs a day.. this is great for me.
